Tribal water rights

Class Activity

Today we will divide up into four teams, each one will create a Google Presentation using the templates below. The focus will be on discussing the context for the Aamodt Water Rights Settlement. All four Pueblos are part of the same settlement, and will share the water infrastructure that will be developed to provide water for the communities.

Begin with the resources that are provided in each section below. You can expand your search if you wish, but make sure that you start with information on their websites (when available) and the resources in your folders about environmental impacts and climate risks. Be free to speculate on how the water infrastructure might benefit the communities, but clearly label what is your opinion, and what material comes from other sources (put URLs for sources in the speaker notes). Use images to illustrate your points (put sources in the speaker notes).

You will have 15 minutes to present your overviews as a team.
